Trapped on a Boat

Looking at the title, one might guess that the boat could be big, or possibly comfortable. Well I am here to tell you that this was NOT the case. On the contrary, me and my friend were stuck, for 3 hours, on a-I'm going to guess about 8 feet long boat in the middle of the Puget Sound. Before you make any assumptions, let me tell you what really happened. Me and my friend Skyler were at my beach house on Case Inlet and we decided to take my little boat into town. Now I guess we actually might have done a couple things wrong. First, we didn't fill up the gas tank before we left(yes, I know, not smart). Also, we were kind of messing around, doing donuts and such in the water. Anyway, we ended up in the middle of the Puget Sound, without gas. We started rowing back until-just my luck-one of the oars sunk. So here we are. Like a dolphin without fins, floating wherever Nature's forces want us to go. Now apparently they wanted us to float for 3 hours and end up on a random island, about 4 miles away, because, well because that's exactly what we did. And it sucked. Once we hit shore, I ran up and asked someone if I could use their phone, at which time we called my parents who came and brought us gas. We got home about 8, and still get made fun of to this day. The upside? It makes for a great story.
