If you run a MLM (Multi Level Marketing) sales organization then you definitely need a MLM Sales Kit to help your sales force excel in their jobs.

You need a MLM Sales Kit to build up the product knowledge of your sales force and to help them learn the best ways to market the product and make good money. The sales people who cannot make money within a MLM organization will not stick around for too long. That’s why most MLMs have such turn-over rates.

A good sales kit will boost up the self-confidence and morale of your sales force, help them sell more and earn more, and thus ensure the longevity of your sales operation.

Here are the main parts of a sales kit written for an imaginary “Success Tea” MLM company.

1) Start your “Success Tea” sales kit with a Welcome Message from the president or the owner of the company, i.e., you. In this message explain why it’s such a great opportunity to join the Success Tea sales team and what’s unique and great about Success Tea. In other words, make a very clear definition of your USP (Unique Selling Proposition). Encourage your sales force to use the same USP to convince others to try Success Tea.

2) Follow this with an Executive Summary -- a one-page summary and bird’s eye view of everything in the Sales Kit.



3) General overview of the tea industry and retail tea market around the world and why all this presents a “Unique Opportunity for You”.

Provide TALKING POINTS for a salesperson to use in pitching the product to others. Provide a BULLET LIST of points to make to convince others about the superiority of the Success Tea.

4) Describe at least two or three different ways to prepare and use the Success Tea (or whatever product you’re selling). Provide TALKING POINTS about the benefits (pleasure) of consuming the product in that way.

5) Provide GENERAL SALES TIPS including important facts about sales psychology.

For example, explain with examples the difference between the FEATURES and BENEFITS of a product and the importance of stressing the benefits of Success Tea as well as its features.



6) Follow this by a section on various MARKETING METHODS including social networking, direct mail, in-home tasting parties, practical pointers on how to set up a web site, an autoresponder system, ezines and newsletters, podcasting, launching an article marketing campaign, issuing press releases, starting a blog, joining virtual-world communities, etc.

7) Have another section in your Sales Kit on how to participate in Trade Shows to introduce Success Tea, network, and collect information on the competition.

8) Explain unique marketing venues like “Success Tea Home Party” or organizing a charity drive to create win-win situations where all parties would benefit from the event.

A good sales kit takes considerable planning, time and effort to create but it’s a must to establish sales force cohesion and to motivate your MLM network to perform at and beyond their personal best.
