Death

by Sally
(Binghamton)

Death is something we fear. It's something that people search to escape although it is the inescapable. Death is Omnipotent and death will always find you. You see the human race lives to die. It is in our nature to want to die and there are many ways to die. You can die with honor for your king (as the Samurai's had), you can kill yourself (although in many countries that is frowned upon), you can be murdered by someone else, or you can just die of old age. Though all these ways to die are there many choose to ignore them. They don't want to die and haven't accepted it as something natural. Death is necessary because without death the Earth wouldn't have room for everyone. It is the balance of nature and sooner or later everyone faces death.

Good job
by: Marc

I think you touch on a very sensitive subject here, but people really don't want to think about death and it really is a part of life. Great job.

Seminal, thoughtful
by: Anonymous

Sally, thanks for your thoughtful contribution. Although written on a topic that most of us try not to think about, it's a succinct and seminal piece. It's well argued. I also liked the way how you finished it by pointing out to a seldom considered global function of death and decay. Best regards, Ugur
