How to Write Articles

How to Write a Letter

By Jan Verhoeff

If you write articles for other people's blogs, submission to EzineArticles or other article marketing sites, or even for your own blogs and websites, there are a few things that will help make those articles easier to locate, more profitable for everyone involved and more responsive for the author of the article. Try following this guideline as you write your articles.

Title -

Introduce your article title with 3 - 4 keywords specifically targeted to a niche audience. Direct the audience to your website via these keywords by selecting a keyword phrase that recognized and branded YOU. The first four words in your article title when searched should actually drive the reader to your website or articles that do take them to your site.

Introductory Sentence -

Reuse the keyword phrase in the article introduction. By placing this in the sentence and making your primary topic focus on these keywords, the article becomes a statement of recognition, identifying your brand within the article.

Warning: Don't make the sentence stilted or uncomfortable. Keep your keywords realistic and smooth.

Sub-headings -

Focus subheading on keyword attributes. If you can't use keywords in the headings, use related words, for instance - this article is about writing, sub-headings are writing words. Sub-headings will drive your reader to the part of the article they're most interested in reading.

Bullet Points -

Often people miss the opportunity to clarify their article writing with bullet points. These easy, simple to use factors can be either bulleted or simply separated content in a list.

Bullet points offer:

  • focus on the article
  • detailed information in list form
  • suggested solutions for the problem
  • resources available to the reader
  • like minded issues that might be solved by clarity
  • clarification of topic
  • idealisms for the basis of the article

Summary Sentence -

Use this to pull your reader into the next most important part of your article - the resource box. As a question, invite the reader to continue his studies, or direct the reader to follow the information given to the next step. Use this summary sentence to pull the reader into the resource box by way of enticement.

Resource Box -

This can be a powerful resource inviting people to your website, giving them a REAL call to action that can be followed. Offer something FREE on your website and tell them in the article resource box to stop by and get one. Be sure to include your link and something that directs the reader to actually CLICK the link.

Impact your business with effective Brand Recognition through article marketing that brings your readers back time after time to get MORE of your Quality and Value.
