It's really mandatory at this day and age to integrate your article marketing with social networking web sites like MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter.
MySpace has over 100 million registered users and attracts 230,000 new users every day at this writing.
Facebook has 120 million registered users. Twitter has only 3 million registered users at this writing but it's expanding really fast and may become another “Facebook” within a year or two.
Here I'll share my ideas on how to use MySpace and Twitter to support your article marketing campaign.
MySpace
You can integrate your article marketing with your MySpace account in a number of ways.
a) MySpace Blog
Click the Manage Blog link on your Home page to display your MySpace Blog page.
Then, click the Post New Blog link under My Controls to open up a new post.
You can publish an excerpt from your article and even repeat its title as your blog post title. Then you can provide the article's link down below for those who'd like to read the rest of it.
You can insert any link you like easily by just clicking the Link link on the upper right text frame reserved for the Body of your text.
Enter your link and click OK.
NOTE: MySpace blog also has an Advanced Editor that has an icon button for linking your text to any URL you like. But at this time of writing the Advanced Editor does not run on Firefox or Safari browsers.
b) MySpace Bulletin Board
Click Friends > Bulletins from the main menu to display the Bulletin Board interface.
When you post a bulletin, your message show up on all your friends' bulletin boards. You can delete the bulletins you post; you can't delete other people's bulletins. Bulletins expire in 10 days.
If you have accumulated a large number of friends (let's say 1,000 or 10,000) imagine your message showing up in that many bulletin boards simultaneously?! It's a powerful way to reach a lot of people in a hurry.
Click the Post Bulletin link on the upper left to display the Bulletin interface.
You can even add a video to your bulletin announcements and decide whether to allow any comments to your post (select the check box) or not (clear the check box).
You can announce your new marketing article here and give a few snippets. Then you can provide a link to it by including the following HTML code: TEXT
Here URL is the Internet address of your article. TEXT could be something like “Click here to read the rest of my informative new article on Article Marketing” os something to that effect.
Twitter
Twitter allows you to post as many 140-byte updates as you like. When you login to your home page your twitter screen is ready for your broadcast. When you click the Update button, your message shows up automatically on the home page of everyone on your Following list.
Here you can just mention that you've published a new article and provide its link by using the HTML code TEXT :
Click the Update button and your message will fly out all those on your Friends list.
But this is not the only way Twitter can help you market your new articles.
Do you see the “Latest” note at the bottom of the “What are you doing?” screen? That points to something called “Eclipse” followed by an Aweber URL.
The smart folks at Aweber as well Ezine Articles have now provided links to your Twitter account. Here is how it works:
Aweber-Twitter Integration
Aweber autoresponder service that I use (and highly recommend) has the capability to broadcast a message to your opt-in house list anytime you like.
When you select Message > Broadcast from the Aweber menu and click Create a Boradcast Message, Aweber displays a message window with all kinds of controls and options on it.Among these options is the Twitter Update.
If you have an account with Twitter, you can enter your Twitter ID and login Password into your Aweber account to have your Twitter Status updated automatically to include a link to your Aweber broadcast once it is sent.
This is a great way to let all your Twitter contacts know automatically that you have just broadcast a new article on Aweber. That will certainly increase the number of your potential readers automatically, without you lifting a finger.
Ezine Article-Twitter Integration
Ezine Articles also do have a great integration functionality built into the Author Profile settings.
After you log into your Ezine Article account, select Profile Manager > Edit Author Bio from your menu bar to display the Author Bio Public Display screen.
There you'll see two Twitter fields.
If you select the Follow EzineArticles on Twitter check box, every time you publish an EA article, a corresponding link will be posted on your Twitter account, for the benefit fo all those who are your Followers. EA will automatically update your Twitter status when your articles are approved. This will also increase the number of your potential readers automatically.
